The Cultural Coalition is pleased to announce the Art at the Airport program's Spring exhibit, ‘The Color of Sound’ presented by Artreach, Inc. The exhibit is free and on view from April 18th to June 30th at the Groton - New London Airport in the airport’s main terminal located at 155 Tower Avenue in Groton.
Artreach’s exhibit, ‘The Color of Sound,’ features original artwork of different media created by its program members. The artists, adults living with psychiatric diagnoses, are led by master teaching Artreach, Inc. will present live musical performance with its popular Music Heals Coffeehouse on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 7:30 pm. The performance, along with "The Color of Sound" art show and sale, will take place at Chestnut Street Playhouse located at 24 Chestnut Street, Norwich, CT. Artwork created by Artreach members can be purchased at the event. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased at https://our.show/musicheals. Discounts available for groups of 6 or more. The Arts Workforce Initiative (AWI) is a paid apprenticeship program that gives Connecticut college students, emerging creatives and military veterans an opportunity to gain high-level professional work experience with not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations throughout the state.
This program is specifically designed for applicants from diverse and traditionally underrepresented backgrounds.

Mr. Whiteway oversees six artistic directors and a dozen nationally-acclaimed programs. The O'Neill has been recognized with a second Tony Award and the National Medal of Arts under his leadership. He recently joined Tribeca Productions (The Irishman, When They See Us) as a Creative Development Consultant, and will continue in that role after departing the The University of Connecticut Avery Point invites all campus community members and local residents to join us for a panel discussion and networking event entitled “Women Leaders Making a Difference” on Sept. 20 from 1-4 p.m. at the campus Student Center Auditorium. The event brings together a group of inspirational women leaders in the region who will share their stories, contributions and ideas for empowering one another.The Keynote Speaker for the event is Kate Farrar (Executive Director of the Reliance Health announced this week that their Board of Directors has appointed Carrie Dyer as Chief Executive Officer upon current CEO, David Burnett’s retirement.
